Minatomirai photowalk
Dec. 18th, 2019 05:20 pmJust random street photos of Minatomirai area in Yokohama from several photowalks. This area is very close to the seaside (Tokyo bay) and has many high-rise buildings. Well, it's not particularly interesting if you prefer more "traditional" Japanese architecture, but it feels far less congested than Shinjuku, Shibuya or Roppongi, it's somewhat otherwordly. Surprisingly many of those high-rises are actual residential buildings, not just offices. And if you walk away just a hundred meters from the main street, you can find some side streets which look completely abandoned and lined up by dilapidated storefronts.

And now look at dilapidated Showa-era storefronts in the adjacent area, such a contrast :) I wonder why this area was abandoned by people? Maybe they were infected by a deadly virus and turned into walkers... I should definitely carry my crossbow with me when I walk there next time, just in case :)

Abandoned tracks overgrown with vegetation...

It says "Highly restricted area, beware of biters!"
