You have forgotten already
Wrapping the red handkerchief like a scarf
Two of us walking into the alley of the bathhouse
We said we would come out together
Yet the one who waits was always me
The hair that was washed was chilling
The small piece of frozen soap and I were sneezing
You held me tightly
Said, "It's very cold"
At that time we were so young
There was nothing to be afraid of
Only I was wary of your tenderness
Perhaps you have already thrown away
The 24 color pencils that I bought for you
The portrait that you drew of me
I always said to you that you drew well
But actually it never was
Under the window is Kandagawa
In this small house (as small as three tatami mats)
You held your stare at my fingertips
You asked me, "Are you sad?"
At that time we were so young
There was nothing to be afraid of
Only I was wary of your tenderness
